Global Reference Identity Protocol

Suppose you have received a confirmation email during the sign-up or password reset process. In that case, you're aware that the email infrastructure forms the backbone of the users' global digital identity. Just as messages are sent and forwarded in the email system, the Global Reference Identity Protocol (GRIP) "sends" and "forwards" security tokens. The GRIP mechanism relies on the existing global Domain Name System (DNS) and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI). This mechanism enables the exchange of identity information between untrusted systems across the Internet.

The white paper for GRIP is currently unavailable and is expected to be released in the first half of 2024. In the meantime, you can still browse the GRIP repository on GitHub for further information.
